What more can I say? It seems what ever luck we had has run out and we received a negative yesterday. It was disappointing to have to prompt SI on a number of occasions over the last 2 days to get our results. Pretty unimpressed by their lack of responsiveness.
Thoroughly disappointed with our result is an understatement and I can't fathom how people who have gone through 4-5-6 attempts don't feel completely soul destroyed by the experience.
I really thought we had a really good chance given the success we had with our ED and 3 grade 1 embryos transferred. Apparently not.
I'm going to keep this short as there is a lot I could say right now that might seem bitter and angry, so I will leave it there. This is a reality of IVF and sometimes the punt doesn't pay off.
Good luck to the others out there who are cycling and we'll be back here again sometime in the future.
Cheers

Thinking of you both....
ReplyDeleteOh, guys - I'm so sorry. It's hard right now, but I do hope you try again when you're read.
ReplyDeleteHi Guys, we are so sorry to hear of your negative. We have had a miscarriage at 8 weeks and one at 10 weeks and then a negative. We are with SCI in Delhi, we are about to start our fourth attempt.
ReplyDeleteWe have found Dr Shivani and her team to be overwhelming with their compassion, dedication and generosity. We can not fault anything and their responsiveness is unbelievable. They totally understand what we all go through.
We are in Australia as well, so far away, we have also heard our news straight from Dr Shivani which shows to us her real strenght and compassion.
It is extremely hard but you can't stop at one attempt.
Ian & David
Thanks all for your comments. We are getting back on the horse and recognise this is a reality of the IVF process. We've been lucky with everything else such as number of eggs, embryos and quality and we're grateful that we're probably able to undergo another attempt.
ReplyDeleteIan & David - you have incredible dedication and strength to have gone through what you have and we hope things work out for you guys. I can't say anything to provide any assurance other than your have a great deal of support from the surrogacy community. It is good to know your agency is supporting you and we hope that our agency improves this aspect following some very frank feedback provided earlier this week.
Cheers

Hi guys, so sorry to read of your negative, every step is so nerve racking and I'm pleased your going to retry, we have our dreams and we will make them come true x
ReplyDeleteJust remember that sometimes nature is fickle. Hard to hear that after a negative, but it's the reality we all must face when going through something like IVF or basically just trying to conceive in general. We had almost a dozen attempts through a variety of different methods and we now, after nearly three years of trying, finally have our daughter. She's 7 weeks old tomorrow and all the pain and anger and suffering is forgotten. You will have a child. Just keep trying. Hang in there. And GOOD LUCK with all your upcoming efforts!
ReplyDeleteI'll keep my fingers crossed for you. This first knock back will hopefully mean that if you do have a positive result in the future it will be so much sweeter. xxx
